Bonjour! My name is Staci, and I have a 2nd grader in the French track. I had the pleasure of serving as a room parent, substitute teacher and volunteer at ICSAtlanta over the past couple years.
As an international family, we feel incredibly fortunate that my son can attend such a diverse and supportive school that truly reflects our values, right here in my hometown. It has brought us immense joy to be a part of the ICSAtlanta community, we’ve made wonderful friends and genuinely feel at home here!
With over 20 years of experience in international education and cultural exchange, and having lived in six countries, along with my background as a project manager, I’m deeply passionate about collaboration and learning. I’m excited for this opportunity to support our amazing school by serving as Co-President on the PTO board!
Poonam Flores: Co-President
I’m Poonam. My husband Luis and I have two children, Xavier (10) and Elani (6), both currently at ICSAtlanta.
We have been in the school for 5 years now. We chose and love it for the IB program, the language opportunities, and the multicultural nature of the school. We hope to be here through to the end!
I love to support the school, teachers and staff wherever possible, whether it’s as a room parent, volunteer or just a parent because I believe that the good karma trickles down to all our children. Happy teachers, happy kids!!
I look forward to continuing to serve in the PTO to be able to continue to support our school!
Barbara Haen: Co-Vice President of Community Relations
I am excited to become more involved and contribute more closely to the school, especially since both my kids will be at ICSAtlanta starting in Fall ‘2026.
Carla Matias: Co-Vice President of Community Relations
Hi, I’m Carla Matias. I have two boys at ICSAtlanta. Benjamin is a rising 6th grader and, Gabriel is a rising 1st grader. We’ve loved being part of the school community and were really attracted to the school’s priorities on language immersion and multiculturalism.
I work as a counselor (for adults) currently, and spent nearly two decades of my early career in education in teaching and administrative roles. Creating connections within our community and extending our school community into the local area are ways I believe I could enhance the experience of this school community for all students, families, and staff.
Elyse Potthast: Co-Vice President of Special Programs
I have been a room parent for 4 years and am ready for the next phase of helping out the school and school families by being involved in the ICSAtlanta PTO Board. I really enjoy being there for the teachers and staff who do so much for our children and want a chance to give back! I am a stay-at-home-parent with capacity to participate/assist during the school days. I listed VP Community Relations, but VP Student Enrichment and VP Special Programs would also be a consideration for me. I feel I could be an asset to the PTO board bringing another perspective from the German language track.
Erika: Co-Vice President of Special Programs
Coming soon!
Ashley Pierce: Co-Vice President of Fundraising
Hi! I’m Ashley Pierce and I’ve been a part of the ICSAtlanta community for two years. My daughter is a rising 2nd grader in the Spanish track, and I’m excited to have a rising kindergartener in the same program. We were drawn to ICSAtlanta by our passion for raising bilingual children and the school’s incredible diversity, as well as its loving and welcoming community.
I work from home in Marketing for a healthcare system, and I’m excited to bring my skills to the Student Enrichment position. I’m passionate about raising my children—and their village—to be good citizens of the world. In this role, I look forward to supporting our administration, teachers, and students, and enhancing the ICSAtlanta experience for everyone.
Brittony Swiedler: Co-Vice President of Fundraising
Hi! My name is Brittony Swiedler. My daughter Eloise is a rising 3rd grader in the Spanish track, and we have a brand new addition to the family, Wesley! I am a full time stay at home mom, and pre-kids I was a project manager and teacher for an after school and summer camp enrichment company. In our 3 years at the school I have been room parent, a substitute teacher, and have served a year as Co-VP of Student Enrichment on the PTO Board. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve the school in so many ways and am so excited to continue on the PTO Board as Co-VP of Fundraising! We love ICSAtlanta for so many reasons- the diversity, multiculturalism, and bilingual educational environment are just a few. I feel passionate about supporting the teachers and staff at our school because happy teachers make happy students!
Paola Tapia: Vice President of Communications
I am on my second year of serving in the VP of Communication role at ICSAtlanta. I have also served as VP of Communications/Social Media Manager at Alpharetta Elementary PTO for two years, and really enjoyed helping families stay connected and involved.
Qiana Lachaud: Secretary
My name is Qiana Lachaud. My husband, Kevin, and I have three beautiful caring children. Mya, my oldest, is 7 years old and is in the first grade Spanish track. My second child, Myles, is 5 years old and will be starting at ICSAtlanta next year as a Kindergartener in Spanish as well! My youngest, Mylena is 4 years old.
I identify as Afro-Chicana and my husband is Hatian American. We love that attending ICSA allows us to build community with multicultural families whom also value culture and language.
I am honored to serve as Secretary of ICSAtlanta’s PTO Board, because I want to be part of the important and impactful work of building strong community where educators and families feel connected and supported. As a university professor in education, I have served on various committees and I have developed a deep appreciation for communication, organization, and detail. I am well prepared to document, coordinate, and effectively share the important work of the PTO.
Andrew Roth: Treasurer
Hello! My name is Andrew. I’m currently the Chief of Staff for the Roth House. We have a 5th grader, a 4th grader, a 2nd grader and a Kindergartener, all in the Spanish track at ICSAtlanta. So we plan to be at ICSAtlanta for a looooooong time.
I was an accountant in a former life and spend half my time getting our own budget under control. These roles have prepared me to fulfill the duties of PTO Treasurer.
I enjoy video games and playing outside with my kids (as long as it doesn’t take too much energy…)
We love ICSAtlanta, and I am happy to serve on the PTO Board!
Ali Winston: VP of Student Enrichment
I love being involved in the school community! I was a room parent for 2 years at ICSAtlanta and have helped PTO with the teacher luncheons and Run the World French cheer station. I was also part of PTO when I taught at other schools.
